Complete Guide to Deals Rummy @ DeccanRummy
In Deals Rummy, players play pre-decided number of deals like 2 deals, 3 deals or 6 deals to conclude the game.
Pre-Req :
* Players need to pay an entry fee.
* Players start with fixed number of chips each.
* Initial Chips count = Pre-decided number of Deals x 80
Objective :
Arrange all 13 cards in-hand in sequences and/or sets.
Gameplay :
* Random toss is made to decide the player who will make the first move.
* Wild Joker is randomly selected and 13 cards are dealt to each player.
* First card from the pack is placed in the open deck to indicate that the game has started.
* Remaining cards are placed face-down in the closed deck slot.
* Each player takes turns to pick/discard a card from closed/open deck to complete sets and/or sequences.
Note: In case a Printed Joker is selected as joker for a game, then players can also use Ace card of any suit as a joker in their sets and / or sequences.
Must : To finish the game, you must declare at least two sequences, one of which must be a pure sequence.
Caution : With two decks, you cannot use the same card twice in a set. For instance - 5♠ 5♠ 5♥ is not a valid set.
Declare:
* Discard one of the cards in the finish slot.
* Click on the 'Declare' button.
* Group and declare your sets and sequences.
Drop:
* Players cannot drop in 2-player deals rummy and have to continue to play till the end of the deals.
* A player missing three consecutive turns is automatically dropped from the game with a score equal to the points in the hand cards, but capped at 80 points.
* Players can drop in more than 2-player deals rummy.
* To avail the Drop option, the player must not have picked a card from open/closed deck in that turn.
* First Drop : If a player drops the game in their very first turn, he/she gets 20 points.
* Middle Drop : If a player drops the game in a turn other than the first, he/she gets 40 points.
* Missed Turns : If a player misses 3 consecutive turns, he/she is dropped automatically from the game. This means that this player gets 40 points.
* Disconnection Scenario : If a player gets disconnected, he/she is dropped automatically from the game and gets 40 points.
Scoring Pattern:
1. Each card carries a certain number of points. The losing player gets points equal to his/her hand score :
* J, Q, K, A of any suit carry 10 points each.
* Numbered cards carry the same points as their face value e.g. 7 carries 7 points and 3 carries 3 points.
* Joker cards carry zero points.
2. At the end of the game, a losing player's hand score is computed by adding points for cards that are not grouped as sets/sequences with the following exceptions.
* If the losing player has no pure sequence, all cards are counted.
* If the losing player does not have two sequences, but has a pure sequence, only the pure sequence is not counted.
3. Full count : Maximum points that a player can get in one game is 80. Considering HS - Hand Score | PTs - Points.
* If HS<80 then PTs = HS
* If HS>=80 then PTs = 80
4. Special Case 1 : If the losing player has not had his first turn before the opponent has made a valid declaration, then the losing player gets 20 points.
5. Special Case 2 : If a player declares without meeting the game objective, he/she gets 80 points and the game continues till there is a winner.
Winning Chips:
* At the end of every deal, the winner gets the chips from the losing players according to their scores.
* When all the deals are over, the players are assigned ranks depending on their chip count.
* Player with maximum number of chip count will be assigned with the highest rank.
Chips Settlement :
* One chip =One point.
* One winner wins all the chips at the end of each deal as follows: Winnings =(Sum of points of all opponents) X (1 tournament chip)
* At the end of pre-decided deals, the player with the maximum number of chips will be declared as a winner.
* In cases of tie among players, the players with equal chip count will have to play tie breaker game to decide the winner.
Winnings calculation :
* Winnings = (Entry Fees X Number of Players) – DeccanRummy Fees
* Example -
* Five players play Deals Rummy and a player comes out as the winner.
* Now the winning player wins all the entry fee deposited by the players.
* If the four players deposited Rs. 50 each, the winner’s cash amount will be calculated as: 4 x 50 = Rs. 200 – DeccanRummy Fees
